The Mesa Veterans Day Parade was traditionally put on by the City of Mesa. Back in August of 2006 the City of Mesa canceled all parade events due to budget constraints, this included the Mesa Veterans Day Parade. A couple of veterans decided this was not acceptable and rallied the older vets to organize and put on the parade in a little more than two months time. It was a success with over 70 entries! The next year that number went to over 90 entries and in 2008 we saw over 110 entries with many folks commenting on how it was the best Veterans Day Parade they had seen in a long time. Soon after the first parade we formed a non-profit to ensure the Veterans had a parade for as long as there were people willing to donate their time and money to make it happen. We are a 100% volunteer organization funded solely by donations from individuals and companies. We do not have any large corporate sponsors so each year our members (about a dozen regulars) put on a variety of events and donate their own time and cash to ensure our veterans are honored for what they have done for us. Please help out with a small (or large) personal donation to the MVPA. Even if its five dollars, every bit helps.

Thank you.
